Energy Efficiency Assessment Program

banner

Productivity Alberta has developed an Energy Efficiency Assessment Program (EEAP) in recognition of the significance of energy efficiency to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the goods manufacturing industry.

EEAP assists SMEs in identifying and implementing energy retrofit projects to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, increase competitiveness, and produce healthier workspaces.

Program Highlights

  • This incentive is based on the completion of an energy assessment and implementation of low cost energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Funding is available for 50% of the assessment cost up to a maximum of $25,000 per organization.
  • Eligible organizations are those with a) less than 300 employees; b) annual energy expenditure greater than $175,000 and less than $5,500,000; and c) management who have demonstrated their commitment to reducing energy use.
  • Alberta-based organizations that may also be eligible are those in the goods manufacturing sector who own, manage, or lease eligible buildings and production equipment and are responsible for paying for their utilities.
