- Description & Objectives
The Strategic Aerospace and Defence Initiative (SADI) has three main objectives: 1 - To encourage strategic research and development (R&D) that will result in innovation and excellence in new products and services; 2 - To enhance the competitiveness of Canadian aerospace, defence, space and security (A&D) companies; 3 - To foster collaboration between research institutes, universities and colleges and the private sector.

- For information on submitting an application for funding, please visit the Information for Applicants section of the website. The Industrial Technologies Office (ITO) accepts proposals submitted to the Strategic Aerospace and Defence Initiative (SADI) at any time throughout the year. A letter of acknowledgment is mailed to the applicant when a proposal is received. Completed proposals are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
